Start with the jersey you own
NFL jersey ranges can use different cloth, prints and stitched parts. Do not pick a wash method from the name alone.
- Read the care label.
- Look up the product code if needed.
- Check any added name, number or patch.
This is a care guide. Spenix is not claiming NFL affiliation or licensed NFL jersey sales.

Keep signed and old jerseys separate
Do not put a signed jersey into a normal wash. Water, rubbing or products may affect the signature.
| Your jersey | Best first step |
|---|---|
| Everyday shirt in good condition | Read its own care label |
| Signed or valuable shirt | Ask a suitable specialist |
| Old or fragile shirt | Get care advice before treatment |
| Loose number or damaged patch | Ask about repair before washing |
A regular laundry guide is not a plan for saving a collector’s item.

Look before you wash
- Check the collar, sleeves and hem.
- Look for loose stitches and peeling edges.
- Separate rough items, towels and zippers.
- Follow the label about turning it inside out.
- Choose stain care only if it suits the shirt.
Tell a cleaner about any products you have already tried.
Wash and dry as the label says
- Use the allowed wash method.
- Measure a suitable detergent.
- Use only products the label permits.
- Follow the drying rule for this model.
- Do not add heat to speed things up.
Check seams and thick parts before folding. Keep damp shirts out of storage.

Give it a clean, dry place
- Store it only when fully dry.
- Avoid rough hooks and sharp fasteners.
- Use suitable folding or support.
- Keep each shirt’s care notes.

Get help with damaged prints
A wash will not fix a peeling number or broken seam. Ask the seller or a suitable repair shop first.
Read our shirt-print guide before trying a removal method.

Quick questions
Can an NFL jersey go in the machine?
Only if that item’s label allows it.
Are stitched numbers safe in any wash?
No. The full shirt, backing and patches still need the right care.
Can I wash an autographed jersey?
Ask a suitable specialist first. The signature may be damaged.
Does Spenix sell licensed NFL jerseys?
